On Tuesday, November 15th, 2016, 46 Year 12 students of our high school and four of their teachers visited the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation in Piraeus to attend a lecture on the current refugee crisis.
The presentation was made by Mr Anastasios Yfantis, a social worker of
We learnt about the causes of the crisis, the history of the civil war in Syria
and the impact of the refugee crisis on our country.
The topic was presented quite vividly and objectively
and a discussion followed, which showed our students' interest.
